The place also has a suitable environment for outdoor activities to take place. Oludeniz is a sophisticated tourism center without any logistic or accommodation problem where you can enjoy your stay for a long time. Besides the stunning boat tours, Babadağ is a preferred hiking and camping site in Fethiye.

Take off Zones

Babadağ has three take off zones. 1700m south take off is permitting for a flight. 1800m north take off is a bit small and steep. 1900m north-peak take off is quite comfortable to start the flight. 1700m take off usually faces the wind during the day, and that’s why it is preferred most. This zone is large enough to place about 20 wings at the same time.

Landing Zone

Belcekiz Beach located at the coast of Ölüdeniz is a long, wide, quite comfortable and safe landing zone.

Meteorological Characteristics

The weather is stable and consistent during the summer season. Sometimes in the mornings north wind blows, and take-offs take place in the north fields inside the valley. South take-off faces a wind with a magnitude of 5-20 km/h for most of the day.

Things to Pay Attention

Especially at the beginning and the end of the seasons, the season change causes sudden changes in the weather and clouds might descend to the take-offs. In the south take-off, west wind coming from the west of the mountain until noon might create a fake south wind and confuse the solo or unexperienced pilots. They have to take and care the localpilots advicements.
